THOMAS PELLERY GROGAN (b.1991, Nottingham, UK) is a French-British artist and researcher currently based in London. Originally from Grenoble in the French Alps, Grogan graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2016 (MA) and the École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ÉCAL) in 2014 (BA). Grogan’s practice is centred on an exploration of esoteric rituals and their significance, which he reimagines within a contemporary context and through the lens of advanced technological tools. Articulated through sculpture, video, and performance, his work serves as a platform for speculative fictions, exploring how emerging technologies can redefine our physical and virtual environments. Grogan’s formal creations become a dynamic conversation between ritualistic traditions and modern innovation, offering a recalibration of our current ecological and spiritual landscape.
