Sasha Ercole
SASHA ERCOLE (b.1998, Texas) is an artist and researcher based in London. She holds a BFA in Sculpture and Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University (2016) and an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London (2023), where she was awarded the 2024 postgraduate fellowship. Ercole's practice explores the intricacies of standardisation and is formally constructed through site-specific installation, set-making and photography-based assemblage. She stands at the intersection of disciplines, exploring the dynamics of power and visibility within infrastructural systems. Through the appropriation of language and bureaucratic materials, architectural construction is considered in relation to staging and forms of access highlighting the implicit violence masked behind structural modes of design. In addition to her practice, Ercole also also holds a professional lead research position at The Perimeter, London.
