NORA NEAGOE (b. 1997) is a Romanian-born artist, based in London. She received her BA in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, USA (2019) and her MA in painting from the Royal College of Art, London (2022). Neagoe’s evolving practice interrogates themes of beauty standards, societal surveillance, and the invasion of privacy, focusing on their impact on women. Experimenting with materials and motifs synonymous with themes of identity, power, and representation, Neagoe uses her personal perspective to challenge and expand the dialogue surrounding these issues. Neagoe’s recent works delve into the intersection of fashion and futurism, particularly using the motif of high heels and women's legs as symbols of femininity.
