Mehmil nadeem
MEHMIL NADEEM (b.1996) is a Pakistani artist currently based in London. She received her MFA from Goldsmiths University, London in 2023, and her BFA from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore in 2019. Nadeem’s practice interrogates the archive of memory, exploring identity construction in the wake of globalisation. Drawing from familial and collective archives, she investigates cross-cultural heritages and the formation of hybrid identities through a transnational perspective. Her whimsical investigative process allows her to delve into the physical and psychological aspects of liminal spaces, utilising navigation, routing, and mapping to evoke notions of home, community, and migration.
